DAW Controller — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Overview
DAW Controller ("the App") is a MIDI controller app from obbliworks. It turns your iPhone into Pitch Bend, Modulation, and other wheels/faders and sends MIDI to a DAW on your Mac. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Information We Collect
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All wheel layouts and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never sent to external servers. The App contains no analytics tools and no advertising SDKs.
MIDI Transmission (Local Network & Bluetooth)
The App sends your wheel/fader gestures as MIDI messages to your own Mac (DAW), connected over the same Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth. This is performance control data, not personally identifying information. It is sent only to your own device — it never passes through, and is never collected by, obbliworks or any third-party server. The Local Network and Bluetooth permissions are used solely for this MIDI transmission.
Apple StoreKit
The App offers a one-time (non-consumable) in-app purchase to keep using it after the trial period. Purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
All app settings, wheel layouts, and trial state are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (and the Keychain). This data is not accessible to us or any third party.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
